Mumbai : Renowned actor and filmmaker Mahesh Manjrekar has been threatened for ransom. It is alleged that Rs 35 crore has been demanded as a ransom in the name of the underworld.
Sources said that a ransom message was sent to Manjrekar’s mobile phone. It is being known in primary investigation that Mahesh Manjrekar was threatened by Abu Salem gang. Manjrekar was threatened on Sunday. A case has been registered in this regard at Dadar police station in Mumbai.
Meanwhile, Mumbai police have arrested a man for threatening Mahesh Manjrekar for ransom. It is learned that a 32-year-old youth from Khed in Ratnagiri was arrested by the police yesterday.
