New Delhi : The first controversy of IPL 2020 came to light and this time Sunil Gavaskar, former Indian captain and commentator became its first hero. During the match played on Thursday between RCB and KXIP, Gavaskar made a comment on Anushka Sharma related to Virat Kohli’s performance in the match. Gavaskar created abuzz after this statement on Virat and Anushka. In response to it, Anushka Sharma slammed Gavaskar for such disappointing remarks.
On Thursday, Gavaskar targeted Virat Kohli for dropping a catch against Kings XI Punjab. People are disappointed with him and even asked BCCI to remove Gavaskar from the commentary panel.
Anushka Sharma while sharing a post on Instagram said that ” Mr. Sunil Gavaskar, I want to tell you that your statement is quite distasteful is a fact but I would love for you to explain why you thought of making such a sweeping statement on wife of accusing her husband’s game? I am sure over years who may have respected the private lives of othe cricketers while commentating on game. Do you think you should have equal amount of respect for me and us?”
She further added, “I m sure you might have many other words and sentences I’m your mind to use to comment on my husbands from the last night performance or your worlds are only relevant when you use my name in the process”.
Virat Kohli showed his worst performance ever as he dropped two important catches of Kings XI Punjab Captain KL. Rahul who scored unbeaten 132 runs on Thursday at the Dubai International Stadium. When Virat Kohli came to bat, he was dismissed by Sheldon Cottrell for just 1 run. RCB were dismissed for 109 in 17 overs. RCB eventually lost the match by a big margin of 97 runs.
