New Delhi: Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has extended the validity of its popular “Work at Home” promotional broadband plan till December this year. In the work from home plan issued for landline customers of BSNL, customers were provided free internet. Customers will now be able to take advantage of this plan till December 8. Which means BSNL land-line users will be able to enjoy internet service till December without any internet recharge pack.
According to the post circular on BSNL’s Chennai site, the Work at Home promotional broadband plan has been extended till December 8 for all circles except Andaman and Nicobar. BSNL has not charged any installation service from customers under internet access. However, customers have to use their own modem for internet service.
BSNL introduced work at home plan especially for land-line users, on which BSNL land-line was provided internet without broadband connection and additional charge. This plan was initially issued by the company for 90 days. However, now it has been increased keeping in view the needs of the customers. Under the Work at Home Broadband plan, customers are given 5GB of data daily with 10Mbps downloading speed. After the consumption of this data, the speed of the internet decreases to 1Mbps.
BSNL has also extended 300 GB plan (CS337) for Sikkim, Kolkata and West Bengal circle till December. This plan of Rs 499 will get 40Mbps speed up to 300 GB data, Internet speed will be 1Mbps after completion of this limit. Unlimited local and STD calls can be made in this plan. This plan is applicable till 12 December.
