Agra: Government Railway Police (GRP) is going to crack down on criminals to stop crime in trains. The criminals for all the respective stations will be marked and their history sheets will be opened. In accordance with this, the SP GRP in charge has sought a list of criminals from all the police stations. The crime raging from Mobile theft, to other robbery cases will be listed in this. Many times criminals are repeatedly caught and sent to jail for the different kinds of crime.
A list of criminals has been sought from all the 12 police stations of GRP. Out of this, criminals who have been imprisoned many times will be identified. In-charge SP GRP Mohammed Mushtaq said that the action has been started to rein in the crime and open their history sheet to monitor the criminals. Soon, the history sheet of all the identified criminals will be opened.
History of five open in the last few days
A history sheet of five criminals have been opened in GRP Agra section three days ago. The history sheet of three Sandeep, Manoj and Gabbar residents of Agra was opened in Cantt GRP police station. Pawan Chauhan’s history sheet has been opened in Mathura GARP of Farah and Sunil’s chargesheet was opened in Aligarh GRP police station of Mainpuri.
This will reduce the work of GRP and at the same time it will increase the efficiency of the police in locating the criminal behind the crime. If the police have enough database, going through data the accused can be found and later sent for the trials.
