Dubai : Nicholas Pooran, who played a key role in bringing Kings XI Punjab’s score to 223 against Sunrisers Hyderabad in an IPL 2020 match being played on Sunday in Sharjah due to aggressive batting in the final over, surprised everyone with his incredible fielding. Even master blaster Sachin Tendulkar had to praise Nicholas. During the IPL 2020 match commentary Kevin Pietersen also praised Pooran’s fielding.

At this time Rajasthan Royals captain Steve Smith and Sanju Samson were batting, while Murugan Ashwin was bowling and the eighth over was going on. On the fourth ball of this over, Samson hit the six, but Nicholas Pooran, on the boundary, jumped into the air and threw the ball back to the ground which had almost gone across the boundary and in this way he saved four important runs for the team.

Kevin Pietersen praised it and said, “I have not seen the best fielding better than this in a T20 game yet.”

Sachin Tendulkar also wrote in praise of Pooran, “This is the best save I have seen in my life. Simply incredible!!”

Earlier, Nicholas Pooran also gave his best in batting. Pooran, who came on the field for batting at number four, scored 25 runs in just 8 balls with 1 fours and 3 sixes, which led Punjab’s score going up to 223 at the loss of 2 wickets in 20 overs.

Pooran, a left-handed stylish batsman, can also double up as a wicket-keeper. Pooran’s first major claim to fame was at the age of 16 the 2013 CPL. Pooran was signed up for Trinidad Red Steel. He became the youngest ever player to play in the CPL. In his first match Pooran scored a stunning 54 off just 24 balls.
