ISRO Chief Dr K Sivan honored with ‘Surya Bhushan International Award’

Pune: Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) President Dr K Sivan was awarded with the ‘Surya Bhushan International Award’ by Suryadatta Group of Institutes.

Recently, a delegation headed by Dr Sanjay Chordia, Founder President of Suryadatta, visited ISRO’s Bangalore headquarters and honored Dr K Sivan. Dr. Chordia along with Prof. Sunil Dhadiwal, Director and Siddhant Chordia, EDO at Suryadatta Group presented this award to Dr Sivan.

During the visit, the Suryadatta delegation was shown the ISRO Heritage Centre & Museum. The delegation was thrilled to understand the heritage, the humble beginning of ISRO from a small shed and the subsequent developments which have created a history.

The museum also displays information on the legendary leaders of ISRO including Dr. Vikram Sarabhai, Prof. Satish Dhawan, Dr. Krishnaswamy Kasturirangan, Dr. A S Kiran Kumar and more, who with their vision, made ISRO an organisation of international repute.

Dr Sanjay Chordia said, “It is a great pleasure to visit ISRO, a world renowned space research center. The Suryadatta family feel proud to honor Dr. Sivan and interact with him. His valuable guidance is inspiring to us. Innovative thinking and research abilities are encouraged among the students.”

“Various activities are carried out to awaken the scientific developments taking place in the society. State level science projects, scientific exhibitions and many other competitions are organized in Bawadhan Campus of Suryadatta,” he added.
