Mumbai: Since drug angle has been surfaced in Sushant Singh Rajput case, several Bollywood stars have been named in the case related to drugs. Now there were reports of a film maker Karan Johar on being NCB’s radar. In response to the allegations on Karan Johar posted a official statement on social media clarifying he does not use drugs or encourage the use of it. Thereafter many Bollywood celebrities are now supporting him. Javed Akhtar has also come in support of Karan Johar after the way media reported on his party.
In his tweet, Javed Akhtar took a dig at TV channels, he wrote- “If Karan johar had invited some farmers too for his party life would have been easier for our TV channels.They would not have had to choose between farmers protest and Karan’s party! It seems that Karan’s do is the second most favourite PARTY of our channels.”

Karan Johar’s statement has been supported by Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan, Sonam Kapoor, Mini Mathur and Riddhima Kapoor Sahni. The official statement came ahead of a video which was viral online. In the video was of Karan Johar party, many film stars are seen enjoying the party. The allegations were being made that the stars took drugs at this party.
What is said in the statement?
‘On some news channels, print and electronics media and social media platforms, this misguided news is being run that drugs were consumed in the party which Karan Johar gave at his house on 28 July 2019. I made it clear in 2019 itself that these allegations are fake. Now seeing this campaign being run again, I again say that these allegations are baseless and false. No drugs were consumed at that party.
