Mumbai: Police conduct ‘Operation All Out’; 70 arrested in 3 hours

Mumbai: Police carried out ‘Operation All Out’ and arrested 48 ‘absconding’ suspects and 22 externed criminals(Operation All Out) in just three hours.
Police also raided 861 hotels and lodges in Mumbai. On investigation, the police confiscated 1 revolver and 22 other weapons.
The operation was directed by Mumbai Police Commissioner Parambir Singh and led by Jt Commissioner Vishwas Nangare Patil (Law and Order), Additional Police Commissioners of all five regions, 13 Deputy Commissioners of Police (DCPs) and Assistant Commissioners of Police (ACPs) of over 40 divisions.
Senior inspectors of all 95 police stations across the city oversaw the operation in their respective jurisdiction. The operation led to the arrest of 48 wanted and absconding, while 22 externee (tadipar) criminals were arrested.
Drugs like MD, Marijuana, Charas were also seized during the ‘Operation All Out’. The police raided 95 locations against illicit activities and seized 1 illegal firearm, 22 swords and knives. Meanwhile they also executed 156 non-bailable warrants.
Joint CP Patil said, “Operation All out will continue in order to control anti-social elements and prevent future crimes. The crackdown will be done regularly as it will keep a check and crime and criminals with stringent and maximum police force on the streets.”
