Nashik : Work at Currency Note Press and India Security Press in Nashik, have been stopped for four days from Monday. The reason behind this is that 40 employees of both the institutes were found to have coronavirus positive in the last two weeks. CNP prints 17 million notes of different values, while the ISP prints revenue stamps, stamp paper, passports and visas.
Both will be closed for the next 4 days from Monday. According to a report, The Currency Note Press (CNP) prints 1 crore 70 lakh rupees a day. At the same time, in the India Security Press (ISP), revenue stamps, stamp papers, passports and visas are printed. CNP has 2300 employees. At the same time, 1700 people work in ISP.
Loss will be completed by working on Sunday
The ISP will not be able to print 6 crore 80 lakh rupees in 4 days. This loss will be covered by working on Sundays. Despite all precautions, a total of 125 people (in the last three months) have been found corona positive. Now before opening the presses, all the employees’ COVID-19 test will be done. The official associated with the press has said that all the guidelines related to COVID-19 are being followed there. In such a situation, people may have got this virus from their family members or elsewhere.
Maharashtra is the most affected state due to Coronavirus in India. So far 7,80,689 corona patients have been found. Out of this, 1,93,548 cases are active while 24,399 died. So far, more than 11 thousand corona patients have been found in Nashik.
