Lahore: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has slammed former legendary spin bowler Saqlain Mushtaq . Mushtaq uploaded a video on YouTube channel about the recently retired Indian team captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni. As per the information, the PCB has reminded Saqlain that he is now the head of development of international players at the High Performance Center and he is also a board employee in  such a situation he cannot post videos on YouTube.

Sources have said, ‘The PCB is against Saklein for Dhoni’s praise and his apparent interference in the affairs of the Indian Cricket Board’. Saqlain Mushtaq criticized the BCCI for not giving MS Dhoni a proper farewell match on his channel. Earlier, the Pakistan Cricket Board had advised the  national team players to refrain from commenting on Indian cricket or players due to the strained relations between the two countries.

The PCB has now asked all other coaches of the High Performance Center and the provincial teams to refrain from making any comment or  statement on Indian team. The source said, ‘Many of these coaches were running their channels on Youtube, but now being employees of the board, they are explicitly asked not to work on Youtube. Even while doing interviews in the media, one needs to take permission from the board’.

The coaches are warned, if any of PCB guidelines are not followed then necessary disciplinary actions will be taken. Apart from Saqlain, other former Test players like Basit Ali, Faisal Iqbal, Atik Uj Zaman, Mohammad Wasim and Abdul Razzaq have been very active on YouTube cricket channels.
