New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed nation through video-conference while inaugurating the historic Kosi Rail Mahasetu (mega-bridge), he stated ‘today, new history has been created in the field of rail connectivity in Bihar.”

Modi in the speech slams Congress for manipulating farmers over farmers bill. PM said that a bill related to farmers has passed in the Lok Sabha tomorrow, due to which the farmers will get rid of the strict bonds. Along with it will get exemption and protection from middlemen. Those who have ruled the country for years, today the same people are opposing this bill and misinformation is being spread to the farmers. The PM said opposition is politicising issue on which they fought their elections.

The Prime Minister took liberty to majorly speak about criticism over the farm bills and attacking the opposition, especially the Congress. Big things are being talked about MSP, but never fulfilled their promise.

The PM made it clear that farmers will continue to get fair prices through MSP. PM Modi said that Nitish Kumar is also here and he has supported the bill. Nitish ji had already removed this law from Bihar, now the country is pushing it forward.

The Prime Minister said that through the schemes of the Center, one lakh crore rupees have been transferred to the account of farmers. Many schemes have been implemented, separate plans are being made for irrigation. PM Modi, while appealing to the farmers, said that they should not get scamed by misinformation.

Referring to Lalu Yadav, PM Modi said in his address that after Atal ji’s government, the pace of this project decreased. If the government was concerned about the people of Bihar, and those who were then railway ministers, if they were worried, then the work would have been done earlier. PM said that if there is determination and a partner like Nitish, then everything is possible.

PM added, Since 5 to 6 years we tried to find solutions to Bihar’s problem. We started 2 Mahasetu’s connecting North-South Bihar 4 years ago. Floods have separated Mithila and Kosi but amid coronavirus we have reunited it. This project was the dream project of Atal ji and Nitish Babu.

Nitish Kumar said that it started in Atal ji’s tenure, but the entire work stopped during the UPA government, now it is completed. Nitish appealed during this time, said that this line should be extended even further,

The PM mentioned under the mission of self-reliant India, the rail network in Bihar is being extended and electrified. Before 2014, only a quarter to three hundred KM lines were commissioned now 700 km railway line has been commissioned. Yet thousand KMs to go.

Apart from this, PM Modi inaugurated several schemes of Samastipur railway division and also flagged the operation of Asanpur Kupaha Demu train from Supaul.
