Police to interrogate Minister Jai Prakash Nishad in Salt Scam after Livestock Scam

Lucknow: There are speculations of the involvement of Minister of State for Livestock Jai Prakash Nishad in the scam of awarding the contract for the supply of salt to the Food and Supplies Department. In the name of getting the contract for the supply of salt to the Food and Supplies Department, there has been a fraud of crores

According to the reports, the police will interrogate the Minister of State to gather evidence. ACP Gomti Nagar has questioned the minister in livestock fraud. Jai Prakash Nishad will be interrogated as the main accused Ashish Rai in both frauds, has visited the minister’s office many times.

Earlier Ashish Rai is accused in Livestock Scam. The scam took place in supply of flour to the animal husbandry department of UP. Gujarat businessman Narendra Patel had also filed an FIR against journalists and officers for swindling money in the name of giving contracts in livestock department.

The Minister of State for Livestock Jai Prakash Nishad, name was taken in the fraud of contract of Rs 292 crore for the supply of flour to the Department of Shipping

In the livestock fraud case, Rs. 9 crore 72 lakh was scammed in the name of getting a contract from businessman Manjit Singh Bhatia of Indore

The police officials interrogated accused Ashish Rai again on Tuesday. Ashish Rai did not cooperate with the police; no satisfactory answers were acquired during the remand period. Thereafter once again the accused was taken in remand and examined by ACP Swatantra Singh.
