Mumbai : Bollywood actress Rhea Chakraborty’s last night spent in Byculla Jail. Rhea Chakraborty, arrested in the case of drugs, has been sent to judicial custody for 14 days. Rhea Chakraborty, former girlfriend of Sushant Singh Rajput, is currently locked in Byculla Jail in Mumbai. She is kept in a separate cell on the ground floor of the jail.
The cell in which Rhea is kept is with the general barrack. Indrani Mukherjee, an accused in the Sheena Bora murder case, is also in this jail. Rhea’s cell is near Indrani Mukherjee. This cell is like a lockup. There are walls on all three sides and grill on one side. This cell is in circle-1 of the jail.
Earlier, when Rhea Chakraborty arrived at Byculla Jail on Wednesday, she was sent to the general barrack, but Rhea was sent to a different cell in the evening due to security reasons. Rhea was served dinner around 6 pm. Rhea was served two rotis, rice, lentils and vegetables. After waking up at 6 am on Thursday, Rhea will be allowed to have breakfast around 10 pm. After this, she will be sent again to the cell.
A local magistrate of Mumbai ordered Rhea Chakraborty to be sent to judicial custody for 14 days late on Tuesday. After this Rhea was kept in the lockup of NCB at night. At the same time, Rhea Chakraborty’s lawyer Satish Maneshinde said that the bail plea of Rhea and her brother Shouvik will be heard in the special court of Mumbai on Thursday.
The NCB, in a 6-page remand application, described Rhea as an active member of the drug supply drug syndicate, who along with Sushant Singh Rajput, used to arrange money to buy drugs. However, it did not mention that she herself used these drugs.
NCB Deputy Director MA Jain said that Rhea has been charged under Section 8 (c), 20 (b) (two), 22, 27A, 28 and 29 of the NDPS Act for her alleged role in the drugs angle.
