Sensex Today: Sensex and Nifty, including all other stocks opens at green mark

Mumbai : Today, on the fourth trading day of the week, the stock market started at the edge.The Bombay Stock Exchange’s flagship index Sensex opened at 39211.88, up 125.85 points, or 0.32 per cent. Whereas, the Nifty of the National Stock Exchange opened with a gain of 0.27 per cent, i.e. 31.20 points at 11566.20.

Stocks of Tata Motors, Cipla, Hindalco, GAIL, Power Grid, Bajaj Auto, IOC, ITC, Itcher Motors and Asian Paints opened on the green mark. On the other hand, shares of Shree Cement, Kotak Bank, Zee Limited, JSW Steel, Bajaj Finserv, Bajaj Finance, Coal India, HDFC Bank, TCS and Infosys opened on the red mark, declined.

Sectoral index tracking

If we look at the sectoral index, then all the sectors opened on the green mark. These include Media, Finance Services, Banks, Private Banks, Auto, FMCG, PSU Banks, Pharma, IT and Metals.

During the pre-open stock market at 9.13 am, the Sensex was up 79.77 points, or 0.20 per cent, at 39165.80. The Nifty was up 64.75 points, or 0.56 per cent, at 11535 level.

The stock market closed on the green mark on the previous trading day. The Sensex was up 185.23 points at 0.90 percent to close at 39086.03 and the Nifty was up 0.63 percent at 11542.75, up 62.50 points.

On Wednesday, the stock market started at the edge. The Sensex opened at 38961.18, up 60.38 points or 0.16 percent. At the same time, the Nifty opened at a level of 11478.55 with a slight gain of 0.07 per cent i.e. 8.30 points.
