New Delhi: NCP’s Sharad Pawar is currently on a tour of Delhi. Two days ago, he had met Union Defense Minister Rajnath Singh regarding the Pune airport. Later, he will also meet President Ramnath Kovind. He has also met leaders of various parties in the UPA. After this visit, there are speculations(Sharad Pawar) that he will be given the responsibility of chairing the UPA. The announcement is expected on his 80th birthday which is in 2 days.
Sharad Pawar is likely to be elected as the chairman of the UPA. In Maharashtra, the experiment of Maha Vikas Aghadi under the leadership of Sharad Pawar has been successful. Therefore, even in central politics, the constituent parties in the UPA are trying to challenge the BJP by leading Sharad Pawar. To this end, efforts have been made to build a national opposition.
Sharad Pawar’s name is being considered to strengthen the anti-BJP front. There is talk that the Gandhi family will take a step back to create a political alternative in the country. All eyes are on whether Sharad Pawar will accept this choice. Sharad Pawar has already served as Leader of the Opposition at the Center. The decision is likely to be taken in view of the BJP’s growing dominance in various states of the country and the UPA’s low aggression. Meanwhile, for the past several days’, the election of the president of Congress has also stalled.
