Thane : Public transport was closed due to lockdown imposed in the wake of growing Coronavirus infection. It was gradually resumed and now, after the government’s State Transport bus service, Shivshahi will also resume it’s devices. Accordingly, it has been decided to start air-conditioned Shivshahi service from Thane, Borivali, Kalyan to Borivali, Mantralaya, Swargate, Kolhapur and Alibag.
The ST Corporation informed that 22 buses will run from Thane-1 depot, 16 from Thane-2 depot and 12 from Kalyan depot. This will make it easier for passengers to travel on these routes.
Public transport was disrupted by the lockdown to prevent the outbreak of the corona. This affected the private and public sector passenger transport systems. It has also caused huge financial losses.
The ST Corporation also had to bear the financial burden and the wages of the workers were also pending. The government allowed various businesses and transportation to speed up the economic cycle by relaxing the lockout. It has now been decided to start air-conditioned Shivshahi bus service and Shivshahi will run on the above routes.
