Guwahati : In our country, tea is the only thing that is loved in almost every household. But would you buy tea at Rs 75000 per kg? Yes, you heard it right, there is a type of tea sold at Rs 75000 per kg. The Guwahati Tea Auction Center (GTAC) on Thursday sold Manohari Gold Specialty Tea at Rs 75,000 per kg. According to the information received from the officials, the price they received this year is higher than last year. A year later, GTAC sold the tea at Rs 75,000 per kg. Dinesh Bihani, secretary, Guwahati Tea Auction Buyers Association, told PTI.

According to Bihani, the tea was bought by Vishnu Tea Company. The company will sell the tea through an e-commerce website. He said, ‘This is an important achievement of the Corona period. State had made special arrangements for the production of this Manohari tea.

Last year, the price of this tea was Rs 50,000 per kg. This special tea ofAssam is famous all over the world. The taste, flavor and color of this tea is very beautiful. Therefore, it is auctioned at such a high price.

On August 13 last year, another special tea from Assam was sold at Rs 75,000 per kg. The tea was sold by Dikom Tea Estate. This tea is known as Golden Butterfly Tea. The tea is so named because the golden tip is used to make this tea powder.

Last year, two records were set for tea sales at the Guwahati Tea Auction. According to Bihani, Orthodox Golden Tip Tea was priced at Rs 75,501 per kg while Manohari Gold was priced at Rs 50,000 per kg.
