New Delhi : Coronavirus infection is continuously spreading in India and new cases of coronavirus coming in the country daily are the highest worldwide. The situation has become such that now the total number of cases of coronavirus in the country has crossed 50 lakh. According to the Union Health Ministry, 90,123 new cases of Coronavirus have been seen across the country from 8 am Tuesday to 8 am Wednesday and with these new cases, the total corona cases in the country has increased to 50,20,360.

With the increasing cases of coronavirus, the number of people who lost their lives due to corona in the country is also increasing continuously. According to data from the Union Health Ministry, 1290 people lost their lives due to corona in 24 hours. Coronavirus has so far caused 82066 deaths in the country. Every day more than 1000 people across the country are losing their lives due to this.
Some relief between the deaths due to corona and the ever increasing cases is that the number of people recovering from this deadly virus is also increasing but people are not recovering at the speed with which new cases are coming. During the last 24 hours, 82961 people across the country have recovered from Corona. A total of 39,42,361 people have been cured of corona so far and the recovery rate of coronavirus in the country is 78.52 percent. Total active cases are 9,95,933.
Testing is being continuously carried out across the country to identify corona patients, more than 11.16 lakh corona tests have been conducted across the country on Tuesday and the total coronavirus testing has now crossed 5.94 crores. India is having the most corona tests worldwide after the US.
