Pimpri Chinchwad In the 2021 Swachh Survekshan the health department of pimpri chinchwad municipal corporation (PCMC) is hoping for a 5 star rating. Civic Chief Shravan Hardikar said they had been trying for this rating but could not get it.
Last year they were denied points due to lack of a refuse derived fuel (RDF) plant. He also mentioned that they have identified the space for the RDF plant and work is underway.
An official from civis said that RDF is a fuel produced from different types of waste such as municipal solid waste, industrial waste and commercial waste.
Pimpri Chinchwad city is on 24th rank in the county and 7th in the state this year in Swachh Survekshan 2020. The whole criteria of this is to keep the city clean and healthy for the citizens and spread the message of cleanness around us.
