New Delhi : Former Team India veteran all-rounder cricketer Yuvraj Singh wrote to the Board of Control for his return to cricket. Yuvraj Singh wants to play for Punjab, but the BCCI rules are the biggest obstacle for him. Talking to ANI, a BCCI official said that the board has the right to take a final decision on the matter, but the biggest hurdle in this is the BCCI rules. Yuvraj has not only got the one-time benefit but he is also taking pension since he retired in June 2019.

However, the BCCI official also said that if Yuvraj Singh plays for Punjab once again, it will be good for the young players of that team as he will get a chance to spend time with this former all-rounder of the Indian team. According to the board official, if young players get a chance to spend time with an experienced player like Yuvraj Singh, then it will be a very good thing for the young players of the Punjab teamt. He has taken benefits, but according to the report, about 22,500 rupees are also given to him as pension.

Yuvraj Singh has written to BCCI President Sourav Ganguly and Secretary Jai Shah requesting that he be given a chance to return from retirement. In this letter, he has written that if he plays for Punjab then after that he will not play in any Global T20 League. Yuvraj Singh, who was the hero of the 2011 ODI World Cup win, had given tips to young players such as Shubman Gill, Abhishek Sharma, Prabhasimran Singh and Anmolpreet Singh at the PCA Stadium in Mohali a few days ago and told them about cricket-related tricks.
