Dr Sheetal Amte Suicide : Chandrapur police recover medicines, injection used to end life

Chandrapur police claimed that their investigation into the motive and cause behind Dr Sheetal’s suicide is in progress. Police also said that they have gathered other important clues related to the case.

Police have also recorded statements of Dr Sheetal’s husband Gautam Karjagi, and of two servants. Police have also questioned other persons who had come in contact with her mother-in-law Suhasini Karjagi and father-in-law Shirish Karjagi.

Police said they found anesthesia medicine from Dr Sheetal’s room. About 25 to 30 pills were recovered from the room which can cause death of a person.

The Amte family is cooperating in the ongoing investigation in the case. Police also said that Dr Sheetal’s mobile may also have clues regarding her act. Police are now examining her mobile, laptop and tab which were seized after the incident came to light.

Chandrapur Superintendent of Police Arvind Salve has said that the investigation is going in the right direction. The forensic lab report will help in establishing the cause the death of Dr Sheetal Amte.
