Ghaziabad: If a woman is determined to do what she wants to do then nothing can stop her. An excellent example of this is IAS officer Saumya, who was posted as SDM officer during the coronavirus period in Ghaziabad district. Saumya resumed her work within 14 days after delivery.

Saumya says, “I am an IAS officer, so I have to take responsibility for everything. During COVID-19, it is the duty of all to do our respective work properly. I am doing the same thing. However, God has empowered women so much because of which she gives birth to a child and also raises her well after birth.

Further added, “The women of the village do all the household related work during pregnancy and also take care of the child after giving birth. Likewise, it is God’s blessing that I will be able to do administrative work with my three-week-old baby girl ”.

According to Soumya, “In these conditions” my family supported me. My entire tehsil and Ghaziabad district administration is like a family to me, who supported me during pregnancy and after delivery. From July to September, I was the SDM Officer in Ghaziabad. In September, I received a leave of 22 days during my delivery. I joined the Tehsil after two weeks of delivery. “She says that every pregnant woman should take the necessary precautions while working during pandemic”, added Saumya.
