New Delhi: Indian Railways has changed the rules of ticket booking. From now, all the passengers have to register their phone number in the register contact number. The change is done because many times, the passengers book their tickets from another person’s account and when you book from another person’s account then, the contact number of the passenger is not registered in the PRS system.
For the benefit of passengers, the rules are changed as it will become easy for the passengers to get the information. At times, when trains get delayed or cancel, the passengers don’t get the right information on time. If the contact number will be registered with the railway then they will directly get an SMS from the railway about the changes.
Railway issued a statement saying that all passengers should register their phone number while ticket booking so that any changes in the scheduling of the train will be updated to the passengers through SMS. All the benefit will be of passengers only in this.”
Also, passengers can book their tickets online through IRCTC for which you must have an IRCTC account in which you have to log in, you must have a valid ID and password. For the whole process, you should learn how online booking is done through the website.
How to make an account on IRCTC?
>> Go to IRCTC website www.irctc.co.in.
>> Then click on the register option.
>> After this a page will open, after which the registration form will open.
>> Here you have to fill in all the information.
>> Passengers will have to give their username, password, name, address, gender, date of birth, occupation, mobile number, Aadhaar number, email ID, security question and their answer, language information.
>> After this enter the verification code and submit.
>> After this, a dialog box will appear on a new page, where you have to click on Accept.
>> After this it will be written that your registration is complete.
>> Now your user name and password information will be sent to email. After which you can log in.
