Pune: Businessman Shankar J Mahashabde (85) breathed his last on Friday (November 4) following a brief illness. He was also the Maharashtra Representative of the Dwarka Sharada Peeth of Gujarat.
Mahashabde is survived by his son, two daughters and grandchildren. Mahashabde had started the IEC AIR Tools Private Limited Company. His son Chiranjeev is now heading the company as its President.
The Gujarat Dwarka Sharada Peeth had conferred upon the Vanijya Ratnakaram award to Mahashabde. Sarthak, an autobiography of Mahashabde, was published recently.
