Pune: Free diabetes checkup and public awareness program on December 5
Pune : The Lions Club of Pune, Twenty-First Century Foundation and Lions Friends have organised a free diabetes checkup and public awareness program on the occasion of World Diabetes Day. The event will be held on Saturday (December 5) at the Suryadatta Group of Institutes Bansiratna auditorium at Bavdhan.
In this event, the third ‘Lions Samaj Ratna’ award will be presented to Prof Dr. Sanjay Chordia, Founder and President of Suryadatta Group of Institutes, at the hands of Shekhar Gaikwad, Maharashtra State Sugar Commissioner. Chandrahas Shetty, Convenor of the Diabetes Awareness Program informed this at a press conference. Shyam Khandelwal, Satish Rajhans, R K Shah, Jyoti Kumar Aggarwal, Prakash Narke and other office bearers were present on the occasion.
Diabetologist Dr Ashwini Joshi will give a lecture on diabetes during the program. Free check-up will be done from 3.30 pm to 4.30 pm.
