Pune: Acting on the directives issued by the state government, the Pune City Police on Tuesday late evening officially issued orders about implementing ‘night curfew’ in the city from Tuesday (December 22) till January 5, 2021. The order has been issued under section 144 (1) (3) of the Code of Criminal Procedure by the Joint Police Commissioner Dr Rajendra Shisve.
As per the order, movement of citizens between 11pm to 6am (next day) is prohibited. Only essential services movement has been exempted under the new rules. The night curfew will remain in place within the jurisdiction of Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) limits and the Pune City Police jurisdiction.
