Pune: On Sunday, the city recorded its second-lowest minimum temperature of the season. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) stated that the temperature has dropped(Pune Winter) down to 10.40 degrees Celsius.
So far the lowest minimum temperature of this season was recorded on November 12, which was 4.9 degrees Celsius below normal.
The head of the weather forecast division of IMD, Pune, Anupam Kashyapi said, “The fall in the minimum temperature of local weather conditions is due to the hilly region around the city associated with a clear sky. And less moisture- level in the atmosphere,” he also added that the mercury level has come down to below 11 degree Celsius. And the wind pattern will remain southerly/southeasterly.
The Lohegaon observatory on Sunday recorded the minimum temperature of 13.7 degrees Celsius, which is over 0.7 degrees Celsius, above normal.
