Schools to reopen from October 15, guidelines issued

New Delhi : The unlocked 5.0 has been implemented. The Union Home Ministry has issued a guideline under the unlocked 5.0 for opening schools in various states including UP-MP, Bihar and Rajasthan from October 15. The government has made strict guidelines in order to deal pandemic with normalcy.

The guidelines prevent any coercion of students for compulsorily attending classes from the schools. The schools will continue with the facility of online classes. Even the written permission of the parents for the students to go to school has been considered the most important. No pressure will be given on full attendance.

The central government pointed out that the state government will decide whether to open schools from October 15 or not. The state should make a decision after analyzing how prepared it is for the worst of all conditions. The call is to be made after assessing the coronavirus infection cases in the state. There is no pressure on them.

The government has also clarified that at the opening of school-colleges or educational institutions, it will be mandatory to follow the SOP prepared by the state government and administration. All higher education institutions in the state will open for laboratory / experimental work for PhD and post-graduate students in Science and Technology stream from 15 October.

The Uttar Pradesh government has completed its preparations to open all educational institutions from October 15. The state government is preparing guidelines. Apart from this, schools from 9th to 12th have been opened in Bihar since 28 September. Educational institutes have also been asked to open in Bihar from October 15.

In Delhi-NCR, the Kejriwal government had ordered the closure of all private and government schools till October 5. After October 5, the government will decide whether to open the schools and colleges from October 15.

According to a survey conducted last week, 71% of the country’s parents are not ready to send children to school. Parents are not yet ready to send children to school due to rising cases of coronavirus and festive season.
