Aurangabad: The Aurangabad sessions court sentenced a man to six months’ rigorous imprisonment and levied a fine of Rs 10,000 for staring and stalking a 13-year-old girl. Aurangabad special court judge AS Khadse pronounced the judgement in this regard.

According to the information, the accused was arrested in 2017 for allegedly stalking a 13-year-old schoolgirl. The accused, identified as Damodar Raada, used to follow the minor to school, park and other places. He also used to sit in front of her house to get her sight, informed the police.

Once when the girl was visiting her uncle, the accused followed her there. The girl informed her uncle about the person who had been stalking her for several days. Without any further delay, her uncle caught hold of the ogler and handed him over to the police.

Aurangabad police had registered a case under the relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and POCSO Act. Six witnesses gave testimony in the court in this case.
