Pune: A man identified as Yogesh Shankar Narkhede died while trying to save his drowning son while they were out for a picnic on Sunday (December 6) evening. Yogesh (37), a resident of Talegaon Dabhade, is a MD Homeopath by profession. Dr Yogesh was the son of Shankar Narkhede, Director of New Maharashtra Education Prasarak.
Yogesh along with his sons Avinash (7) and Divesh (3) had gone out near the lake for an outing. During that Avinash slipped and fell into the lake. While trying to rescue his kid, the doctor drowned and died.
Dr Yogesh somehow tried and saved Avinash but couldn’t save himself and eventually died. Since Dr Yogesh did not know how to swim and drowned himself to death after water was filled till his eyes and nose.
