Jalgaon: Eknath Khadse was reportedly upset with then chief minister Devendra Fadnavis over his authoritative leadership in Maharashtra. This tussle could be witnessed over the Jamner event scheduled for 13 October as Eknath Khadse has maintained suspense over whether he will be attending the event at Jamner in the presence of Leader of Opposition Devendra Fadnavis or not.
However, in response to this former CM Devendra Fadnavis has asked to let suspense remain suspense. There is no need to unleash the take on event. Former minister Girish Mahajan has started a hospital in Jamner, the inauguration event is organized on 13 October which is supposed to be attended by CM Devendra Fadnavis. Eknath Khadse is also an invitee. However, ongoing tussle with BJP has raised questions over his presence in the event.
Eknath Khadse was in Mumbai for the last 4 days and had returned to Jalgaon late at night. During his stay in Mumbai, he spoke to reporters on Sunday morning. Khadse has refused to talk about joining the NCP or make any statement related to it.
Mr. Khadse has been vocal about his disenchantment with his party after being denied a ticket in the 2019 Maharashtra Assembly polls and following the defeat of his daughter Rohini Khadse in the same election. He was also disappointed with Devendra Fadnavis, the BJP’s leader in the State, for his ‘authoritarian style’ of running the party and eliminating potential ‘rivals’ in a Machiavellian fashion.
The speculations were also made that BJP leader would be meeting with Sharad Pawar while he was in Mumbai recently. The BJP leader, however, refused to comment on the matter after his return to Jalgaon on Sunday. There are also rumours of Eknath Khadse entering Shiv Sena, NCP leader and former minister Gulabrao Deokar hinted at Eknath Khadse’s entry into the NCP while talking to reporters in Jalgaon today.
