Pune: The Pune Traffic Police have issued traffic diversions on Mahatma Gandhi (MG) Road and other areas in Pune Cantonment areas on Thursday (December 31) 5pm onwards. The vehicular traffic will be diverted anticipating the crowding that would take place in Camp areas for the new year celebration.
Vehicular traffic diversion plan is as follows:
- Vehicles coming from Goilbar Maidan chowk (Y-junction) towards MG Road will not be allowed beyond 15 August chowk.
- These vehicles will be diverted towards Qureshi Masjid and Sujata Mastani chowk
Vehicles coming from ISKCON temple junction will not be permitted to go towards Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar statue (Aurora Towers) - Vehicles coming from Volga chowk will not be allowed towards Mohammad Rafi Chowk. These vehicles will be diverted on East Street towards Indira Gandhi Chowk
- Vehicles coming from Indira Gandhi chowk will not be permitted beyond Mahaveer Chowk. These vehicles will be diverted towards Cantonment Police Station chowk.
- Vehicles coming from Sarbatwala Chowk will not be allowed to proceed towards Mahaveer Chowk. These vehicles will be diverted on Taboot Street
The vehicular traffic diversions will remain in place as per crowding in the respective local areas
