Pune Sangvi: Man booked for stalking, molesting, intimidating nutritionist woman

Pune: A man has been booked by Sangvi police on charges of stalking, molesting and intimidating a 32-year-old woman who works as a nutritionist in New Sangvi. The suspect was demanding that the woman along with her daughter, leave her husband and stay with him.

The suspect has been identified as Laxmikant Chidraram, a resident of Adarsh Nagar in Pimple Gurav. The woman has lodged the complaint against him at Sangvi police station. Based on her complaint, Laxmikant has been charged with section 354 (Assault or criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty), 354D (stalking) and 506 (punishment for criminal intimidation) of the Indian Penal Code.

The FIR has been lodged on December 31, 2020 night 10.25pm. According to the complaint, the suspect has been stalking the woman since October 2020. On November 22, morning 10 am near Krishna Chowk, the suspect followed the vehicle of the complainant woman.

The suspect said “I love you and I will take care of you and your daughter. You leave your husband. We will stay together. If you don’t talk to me then I would tell things against you to your husband,” the suspect threatened the woman.

Police Sub-Inspector Rupnar is investigating the case.
