Pune: Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic) Rahul Shrirame has issued transfer orders of three Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) rank officials within the department. DCP Shrirame has taken the charge of DCP Traffic and started his work on Monday.
The officers who have been transferred within the department are ACP S M Deshmukh, ACP N P Wakude and ACP Sushma Chavan. ACP Deshmukh has been transferred to Zone 1 and has been handed over additional charge of Zone 3. ACP Wakude has been transferred to Zone 2 and has been handed over additional charge of Zone 5. ACP Sushma Chavan has been transferred to Zone 5.
DCP Shrirame took a review of the situation of traffic in Pune city. He also took review of the most congested areas and the traffic divisions under which jurisdiction these areas come under. He also took information about the sanctioned strength of police personnel for the traffic branch and the shortage of workforce. DCP Shrirame is expected to make other changes in coming days.
