Ahmedabad : Google Map has become a support for each and everyone of us. Google is like a companion to any destination. However there is also a special community working to create this Google Map. Which offers its own views on road quality, traffic jams, restaurants or hotels in Google Maps for service purposes only. Based on which ratings are given by Google. Two people from Gujarat work as volunteers for Google. Naresh Darji and Priyanka Upadhyay are serving as Google’s local guides.
Nareshbhai runs the Gujarat Local Guide Community. More than 200 members are involved in this community. Both of them also represented Gujarat in Google’s Local Guide Summit 2018. He was invited to California by Google. The Local Guide program was launched by Google in 2015. In which the locals can become a local guide by updating the area around them on the map. You can also put a map of the places around you. So that others can easily get information about it. You can also apply for the Local Annual Summit through Google. Google invites you to its headquarters if you are selected. The entire cost is borne by Google. Google also offers small and large perks as well as discount coupons throughout the year.
Naresh Darji and Priyanka Upadhyay have also been given awards for performance by Google. This year too, the top 50 local guides from around the world were honored by Google Local Guide. In which two Gujaratis got this honor. Naresh Darji was awarded the Best Community Builder award. Priyanka Upadhyay was awarded the Local Business Champion award.
