Pune: An 11-year-old boy who was missing for two days was found dead in the Kothrud area on Sunday (January 31). The deceased boy has been hit on his head with a sharp object and hence police suspect that he has been murdered.
The deceased has been identified as Vishu alias Vishwajeet Vinod Vanjari (11), a resident of Kelewadi in Kothrud. FIR has been registered at Kothrud police station against unidentified suspects in connection with this incident.
According to police, Vishwajeet had gone missing for two days. His family and relatives had approached police and filed a complaint in this regard. His family and relatives were suspecting it to be a case of kidnapping and hence relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code were invoked while registering the complaint.
Vishwajeet’s dead body was found in Kelewadi area on Sunday afternoon. Police have observed that he was hit with some sharp object in his head and had received injuries.
