Pune: Bengaluru-based IT engineer woman robbed by motor driving school trainer in Kondhwa

Pune: In a shocking incident that has come to light, a 35-year-old Bengaluru-based IT engineer woman has been robbed of Rs 50 thousand and three gold rings by a motor driving school trainer and his accomplice in Kondhwa. The suspects allegedly took the money through google pay (GPay) account and ATM transaction.

The victim woman has lodged a complaint in this regard at the Kondhwa police station. Based on this complaint, police have registered FIR against one Rajesh Singh, a resident of Salunke Vihar in Kondhwa and his accomplice. The suspects have been charged under section of robbery and kidnapping under the Indian Penal Code.

According to the complaint, the victim is originally from Bengaluru IT hub and has been staying in Salunke Vihar area for the past few months. She works in an IT company in Bengaluru. While her stay in Pune city, the victim decided to learn to drive car and was undergoing training for the same with Singh. Singh was known to the victim as he was familiar with her father. She was undergoing training on a car belonging to Singh.

On Tuesday morning, Singh along with his accomplice came to the victim’s residence. He took her for the training session. Singh was instructing the victim till Undri area while she was driving the car. On a steep incline, Singh told the victim to change seat and took control of the vehicle.

Suddenly, Singh’s accomplice stuffed the victim’s mouth with a cotton ball and tied her hands. While they returned till NIBM road, the suspects transferred Rs 40 thousand from the victim’s GPay account to their own. They took the key of her house and stole her purse from the house. The suspects found the ATM card in her purse and withdrew Rs 10 thousand using it. Later, the suspects forcefully cut the gold rings worn by the victim.

After robbing all the valuables and cash, the suspects fled from the spot. The victim was completely shattered with these developments and approached the Kondhwa police to file the complaint.
