Railway Reservation Rules Changed, Now Book Confirm Ticket 30 Min Prior To Departure Of Train

New Delhi : In order to give relief to the passengers, the Indian Railways is going to provide the facility to prepare a second reservation chart. This second reservation chart will be prepared 30 minutes before the train departs. The new change has also been implemented today i.e. from 10 October. Earlier, in view of the COVID-19 epidemic, it was changed only 2 hours ago.

The statement issued by the railway states that under the pre-corona rule, the reservation chart was prepared 4 hours before the train departure. After this, bookings available through the Internet or PRS system were on a first-come-first-served basis.

Earlier, Second reservation chart was prepared 30 to 5 minutes before the opening of the train. During this time, it was also allowed to cancel tickets already booked under refund rules. Due to the Coronavirus epidemic there was a change in the rules of the second reservation chart. But changing the rules again, now again the second reservation chart will be made 30 minutes before the time of leaving the train.

Ticket booking facility will be available online and at PRS ticket counters before preparation of the second chart. The Rail Information System Center (CRIS-CRIS) software has made necessary modifications to restore the chart making technique 30 minutes before the train departs.

The first reservation chart of the train is prepared 4 hours before the train leaves. After changing the time of the second chart, now there will be more options to book tickets in front of passengers. Travelers can book tickets on the Internet on a first-come-first-served basis until the second chart is prepared. The second reservation chart will be prepared 30 minutes before the scheduled departure time. There will also be a provision to cancel pre-booked tickets in this time table.
