Mumbai: Rhea Chakraborty has been released on bail on Wednesday after spending nearly a month in judicial custody after being named in a drugs case. The Bombay High Court has granted her bail. The HC said that Rhea Chakraborty is not part of any chain of drug dealers, so it is not appropriate to keep them in jail. In regards to this, Rhea Chakraborty’s mother Sandhya Chakraborty has given her statement for the first time/
Rhea’s mother said in an interview- ‘How will she emerge herself out of these things? But she is a fighter, she has to be strong. I have to get her therapy so that she can get out of this trauma and live her life again as this battle is going to be long’.
Rhea’s mother further added, ‘It is reassuring that she is out of jail, my son is still in jail, I get upset thinking what will tomorrow bring for us? My husband was last seen going out to the ED office; he was followed by the media on his way back home. Whenever the doorbell rings, I am afraid, who will be their–CBI or the reporter? ‘
She adds, “We have installed CCTV outside the house, so that we can know who is there outside. My whole family is devastated, neither we can sleep nor eat. Many times I even thought of committing suicide”.
Rhea, who has been in Byculla Jail for almost a month, was released from jail on Wednesday evening. His brothers Shouvik Chakraborty and drug peddler Abdul Basit Parihar have not been granted bail. The Bombay High Court while hearing through video conferencing gave its verdict on the matter. The Bombay High Court has granted conditional bail to the Bollywood actress. Rhea Chakraborty on a personal bond of Rs 1 lakh. Rhea must submit her passport with authorities.
