Pune: A boy from Latur has been booked by Chakan police on charges of molesting and harassing a girl whose sexually explicit video with her live-in partner was leaked a few days before. This alleged incident happened on September 29 to October 8. The girl lodged FIR against the boy on Sunday (October 25).
The suspect has been identified as Balaji Jadhav. He has been charged under sections 354A (unwelcome and explicit sexual overtures; demand or request for sexual favours) and 354D (stalking) of the Indian Penal Code.
According to the complaint, the complainant stays with her live-in partner Sujit Surwase. The girl had recorded a private video with Sujit which could have been leaked unknowingly some days before. This video reportedly reached the suspect who then called up the girl. He told the complainant that he had her video in possession.
Jadhav then demanded that the girl should come to Latur to meet him or he will come down to Pune to meet her. Jadhav also demanded sexual favours from the girl. Jadhav repeatedly called the complainant girl on October 2 and harassed and molested her. Assistant Police Inspector Sapange from Chakan police station is investigating the case.
