So how to figure out whether the card is fake or real. Before accepting the Aadhaar card of any person, you should check whether the Aadhaar number given by him is correct or not.

If you check the authenticity of the Aadhaar number before accepting it, then in future you will be able to trace the person if needed. The Aadhaar Card issuing Organization facilitates the verification of the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) Aadhaar number as well as the mobile number and email id registered with an individual’s Aadhaar. The process associated with this is quite easy. When you look at Aadhaar verify it.

• First of all log on to the official website of UIDAI https://uidai.gov.in/.
• On the website, you will see a tab of ‘My Aadhaar’. In this, you have to look at ‘Aadhaar Services’.
• Here you will get the option of ‘Verify an Aadhaar Number’.
• Click on ‘Verify an Aadhaar Number’. Insert the captcha code here with the 12 digit Aadhaar number and then click on ‘Proceed to Verify’.

If the Aadhaar number provided by the person is correct, then you will see the last three digits of that person’s age, gender, state and mobile number. You can match this data to the data entered on the Aadhaar card.

The Aadhaar number is based on biometric data and any person cannot make another-Aadhaar.
