Mumbai: The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) has summoned Sameer Khan, son-in-law of NCP leader and minister Nawab Malik in connection with an alleged drugs procurement case.

Malik is the Minority Affairs and Skill Development Minister in the Maharashtra government. His daughter Nilofer is married to Sameer Khan.

According to reports, the NCB has unearthed a financial transaction between Sameer Khan and Karan Sajnani. This transaction was of Rs 20 thousand and was done using Google Pay. The NCB suspects that this payment was done allegedly in connection with drugs procurement.

Sameer Khan has been summoned by NCB for questioning in connection with the seizure of 200 kg of drugs made last week from British citizen Karan Sajnani and one Rahila Furniturewala.

Ramkumar Tiwari, one of the owners of Muchhad Paanwala, Mumbai’s famous paan seller at Kemps Corner, was arrested by the NCB. He has been sent to judicial custody by a magistrate court in Mumbai.

He was found dealing in drugs including ganja, imported contraband like ‘OG Kush’ (a strain of cannabis indica), and curated marijuana, some of which had been sourced from the US.
