Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s net worth increased by 36 lakh in 2020, know how ‘here’

New Delhi: The Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi has recently declared his assets and liabilities. The asset declarations submitted to the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) have shown that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s net worth increased by Rs 36 lakh in 2020 when compared to 2019. In 2019, he had assets worth Rs 2.49 crore whereas by June 30 this year, it has increased to Rs 2.85 crore.

According to PM Modi’s latest asset declaration, his net worth has increased marginally due to bank deposits of around Rs 3.3 lakh and returns on safe investments worth Rs 33 lakh during 2019.

Currently, PM has Rs. 31450 in cash with no debt under his name. The bank account holds 3.38 lakh rupees. PM had just Rs 4,143 in his bank account as on 31 March 2019. PM has Rs. 1, 60, 28, 039 in his FD in Gandhinagar branch of SBI. A year ago this amount was Rs.1, 27, 81, 574. Modi saves tax through a national saving certificate of Rs. 8, 43,124. For his life insurance, he pays a premium of Rs.1, 50, 957. He had Rs. 7, 61, 646 for a National Saving Certificate.

According to the latest report, there has been no significant change in the real estate of PM Modi. There is a house in Gandhinagar named after him, which is worth 1.1 crores. It is owned by Modi and his family. PM Modi has no car.

2 lakh is Modi’s salary

Modi’s salary is two lakh rupees, which is much lower than the global level. In view of the economy affected by the coronavirus, PM Modi along with the President, Vice President, Cabinet members and MPs have reduced their salary by 30%. It started in the month of April. This increase in PM Modi’s assets is due to his salary savings and FD interest.

On the other hand, the net worth of Union Home Minister Amit Shah, has decreased in the last one year. As per the declarations, Shah has declared his net worth as Rs 28.63 crore as of June 2020, while it was Rs 32.3 crore in 2019.
