Pune: Bharitya Janata Party (BJP) Corporator Manjusha Deepak Nagpure has demanded that several problems like call drop related to the police emergency helpline number 100 should be resolved immediately. Nagpure has written about these problems to Home Minister Anil Deshmukh who on December 31, 2020 night had spent his time in the police control receiving calls from citizens seeking help over the helpline.

Nagpure said, “The police emergency response number 100 is very important for citizens as they seek help in any eventuality like accident or help. However, citizens face several problems when they dial this number.”

“The calls made to this number take time to connect, and citizens require to make at least three to four attempts to go through successfully. Even if the call connects, there is a possibility of call drop. Hence these problems should be resolved immediately and citizens should be provided relief,” she demanded.
