Pune University to conduct backlog and grade improvement exams online from December 8 to 23

Pune: The Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU) has announced that it will conduct the examinations for backlog and grade improvement from December 8 to 23. The exams will be conducted in online form. Students will be offered a mock test three days before the actual exam.

The SPPU conducted exams in October month for final year students. Students had to face a lot of technical issues while appearing for these exams. The SPPU had then started planning for exams for grade improvement and backlog subjects. The backlog examinations will be conducted for about 2200 subjects and it is expected that about three lakh students will be appearing for the backlog subject exams.

The exam department of Pune university had earlier announced that the backlog and grade improvement exams will be conducted from December 3 to 16. However, SPPU has made some changes to this time table.

The mock test will be arranged during December 3 to 6. The university will ascertain whether the students are able to login properly, whether their email ids are correct and other technical issues will be sorted out on or before December 7. After this exercise, the actual exams will be conducted from December 8 to 23.

Dr Mahesh Kakade, Director of Examination Board of SPPU said, “The exams for 2013 pattern arts, commerce and science subjects will be conducted at college level. All other subject exams will be conducted online from December 8 to 23.
