Pune: Social activist Anna Hazare has joined the farmers protest as he is on a one-day hunger strike to support the agitating farmers(Anna Hazare) on Tuesday.
In support of the farmers, Anna Hazare has demanded the central government to change the agriculture laws implemented this year.
Anna Hazare has stated that “He supported Bharat bandh and people should stand together against the government so that the government will take action in favor of the farmers.”To spread the movement, he recorded a message in which he said that, due to the movement, there was no harm caused to any citizen of the country. This is a movement for the rights of a farmer and we should all respect it and should spread it throughout the country because it will put pressure on the government.
Hazare added that the government has so far only given assurances but never met the demands. He had supported and raised a voice against it earlier also but the government took no actions. This is the “right time” for farmers to come on the streets and resolve their issues. Also, farmers should be given benefits based on the recommendations of the MSP Swaminathan Committee.
