Washington : The unemployment rate in the US has come down to 7.9 percent. This official data has been released a month before the presidential election. However, it is seen that the pace of hiring is slow even while people have given up their search for work.

6,61,000 new jobs in September
In this context, the Labor Department said that amid the coronavirus epidemic, employers added only 6,61,000 new jobs in the month of September. Earlier, 1.5 million people were employed in August and 18 lakh in July. The unemployment rate has come down from 8.4 per cent to 7.9 per cent.

But behind this decrease in the statistics, it is seen that instead of increasing the appointment, the number of people seeking jobs has decreased. The government does not consider people unemployed who do not actively seek employment. Drew Maitus, an economist at MetLife Investment Management, said, ‘It seems that the pace of employment has slowed down which is worrying. If talk about the employers, they are very cautious.

The Coronavirus epidemic caused 22 million people to lose their jobs. The situation of the economy has improved slightly with the appointment in September. The Coronavirus epidemic in the United States killed 200,000 people while more than 7 million Americans were infected. Many companies and customers are worried about the Corona crisis and are in a state of uncertainty. In such a situation, economists say that the job market is expected to be fully back on track by 2023.
