5 measures to avoid Air Pollution during Coronavirus period

New Delhi: Coronavirus has changed the dynamics of the world in terms of lifestyle. After 10 months, coronavirus infection people have become more conscious about their health. However climatic changes are increasing rapidly daily. There is currently no vaccine available to prevent infection and spread of the virus. Pollution and coronavirus are more of walking hand in hand as it consists of respiratory illness.

According to the Meteorological Department, the monsoon is almost over and now winter is about to knock. The risk of flu is high in this season as well as the quality of air in the country’s capital takes a worst turn in the same season. This causes difficulty in breathing and increases the risk of respiratory diseases. Here are the five measures to deal with air pollution in the coronavirus period.

Wear N95 mask

The N95 mask is the best to avoid coronavirus and air pollution. Wear masks whenever you go out of the house. This will prevent the toxic particles in the air from entering the body through the breath. The N95 mask works effectively. These are also known as respirators. Respirators are basically high-end masks, highly effective at filtering pathogens. The N95 is widely used and known but there are more masks which add to this list such as N99 and N100. These masks are named after the work they do, for example-N95 respirators can filter 95% of particles that are harmful. Similarly, N99 can filter 99% of the dust or harmful gases. Frontline workers are advised to use the N95 mask. However common people being more panicked have started using the N95

Stay at home

Staying home will make you stay safe. Avoid going outside the house unnecessarily. Coronavirus is the deadliest epidemic prevailing in people having weak immunity power. So the accurate way of preventing infection from spreading is no contact with people in the outside world. Winter is about to begin and Corona is about to change its appearance, so be sure to avoid it.

Drink decoction (kadha)

Once you come back home from outside, take the decoction. This removes the toxic particles present in the body. Decoction helps in healing the throat. Decoction is a method of extraction by boiling herbal or plant material to dissolve the chemicals of the material, which may include stems, roots, bark and rhizomes.

Must have hot water

Breathing problems are enhanced during the winter season. To avoid this, you must take some herbs and essential oil in hot water. It is a panacea to relieve cold and cough. Take steam as and when required.

Sanitize the car

The car is considered a stronghold of germs. If you go out of your car, then after getting back home, sanitize your car. With this, you and your whole family can be protected from pollution. Infact whatever object you are using, keep sanitizing it at regular intervals.
