Meanwhile, a farmer protesting outside former CM Prakash Singh Badal’s house in village Muktsar, Punjab, consumed poison. The special thing is that this is the village of former Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal and the farmer was staging a protest outside his house.

It is being told that a farmer named Pritam Singh consumed sulphas tablet  Friday morning while sitting at ‘pakka morcha’ outside former CM Parkash Singh Badal’s house at Badal village. He is a resident of Akali village in Mansa. Pritam Singh was first admitted to the government hospital of the village. After this, he is taken to Max Hospital in Bathinda. His condition is quite critical.

This whole protest is about those three agricultural bills passed in Lok Sabha. This includes the Agricultural Produce Trade and Commerce (Promotion and Facilitation) Bill, Price Assurance and Farmers (Protection and Empowerment Bill) and Essential Commodities Amendment Bill on Agricultural Services.
