New Delhi : The gang-rape victim of Hathras succumbed during treatment at Safdarjung Hospital in Delhi on Tuesday morning. The father of the deceased demanded justice for his daughter from the government and said that there should be nothing less punishment than hanging the culprits.
Now, the postmortem report of the 20-year-old victim of Hathras gang rape incident has revealed that she suffered a fracture in her neck as a result of repeated strangulation. The post-mortem of the victim was done by a panel of doctors of Safdarjung Hospital. According to the report, the victim had bruises on her neck and bones were also broken. In this report released by Safdarjung Hospital, it was told that the main cause of the victim’s death will be known only after the Viscera report. However, the report also mentions bruises on the throat.
The post-mortem report stated that the cervical spine was broken due to strangulation, resulting in the death of the victim. It was reported in the medical report that the ligaments of the cervical spine were broken due to strangulation.

Significantly, in this case, the victim had said in the statement given before the death that she was raped. After this, her throat was strangled with a dupatta, but after hearing the sound of screaming, when her mother came, the accused escaped.
Significantly, on September 29, 15 days after this traumatic incident, the victim died in Delhi’s Safdarjung Hospital. All the four accused in the case are in jail.
There is anger in the country after the death of the victim. Opposition is constantly attacking the state government. Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi has also demanded the resignation of CM Yogi. Now meanwhile, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has formed a three-member SIT which will submit its investigation report. Along with this, by running the whole case in the fast track court, orders have been given to get the accused punished soon.
